There is so much beauty in weaving stories together... we integrated lace from Jaclyn’s mother’s wedding dress to create a custom look for her wedding day that is full of sentiment.
THIS story in particular has expanded our hearts…
Jaclyn and her sister flew in to spend an afternoon with us at our studio in Eau Claire, WI… crazy bananas but oh so true! We had THE privilege of meeting their beautiful mama via FaceTime over the visit. All three women shine such bright light that clings with you even after they leave the room. A forever bond has been made - sorry J you’re stuck with us. One of our favorite parts about this gig is the experiences with our brides. It’s an intimate process creating together. The dress send off is always bittersweet - it’s the end of an experience together but we always feel like it’s the beginning of a new friendship.
J’s mother passed during our time creating together, however her LIGHT hasn’t diminished. It was an honor to design a top from her mother.s lace to hold her like a hug throughout the day.
”My wedding without mom’s presence was an overwhelmingly emotional experience. But she showed up in rain, sun, butterflies, roses, tears and dancing. I have the most sincere gratitude to linyage for taking lace from my mother’s gown to create a custom top for me so my mom could hug and support me in this day. Jaclyn and Joshua held their celebration at Brown Mountain Beach. We just can’t say enough about this beautiful venue and the people, my goodness the people. Good people. They truly go above and beyond to create a personalized experience for every. single. couple.
The ceremony was along the river where she had walked with her mama before. A magical backdrop to say vows and begin a new chapter infront of friends and family. And can we just talk about the canoe exit… I mean total Notebook vibes.
J changed up her skirt for the reception - the beauty of our bridal separates is the versatility of creating more than one look on your wedding day and beyond! A shorter skirt that she can whirl and twirl in on the dance floor was an A+ choice in our books!
