linyage & sustainability | let’s chat

Does anyone else add unnecessary mileage onto their trips by veering off the route to chase rusty signs that say:

‘Antiques This Way’ >>> ?

Sustainability and Versatility in our designs

is what linyage was borne from.

I have always chased down thrift stores and taken roads less traveled in hopes of stumbling upon a back road antique emporium.  I’ve been a huge fan of getting lost in isles of oddities and memorabilia from times long gone for as long as I can remember (old soul) certainly back to grade school.

There’s something so irresistible and enchanting to me about materials and objects from the past that were made with such intention, care, thoughtfulness and purpose.  Something that has been mostly lost in our fast fashion/ mass marketed / wasteful manufacturing modern world.

s l o w is beautiful.

Designing from antique lace and sewing one piece at a time creates zero waste, supporting a sustainable process:

slow & clean, with intent and purpose

The studio (my apartment) is filled with piles of vintage lace that I’ve collected from my adventures along with vintage buttons that spill out of old tackle boxes.  I’ve been collecting for years, each treasure waiting patiently for ‘the right’ opportunity to come along... and by opportunity we mean bride, of course!   We’re all about adding charming, one of a kind details to our custom pieces and making them as individual as the bride.

These two hands of yours truly, hand stitch each and every top and bodysuit one at a time thoughtfully and with care and let me tell you, the working conditions are exceptional!  Designing and hand sewing one off pieces is literally my dream.

linyage is the product of a lifestyle, an aesthetic and an intention that we have always carried.

We chose to design bridal separates rather than dresses with the intent that our pieces could have a longer lifespan by offering multiple wears.  one idea we encourage our brides to do is wear their tops beyond the wedding, possibly for a boudoir shoot, maybe with a blazer for your anniversary or even with jeans to a festival!

And most of all, we hope that our pieces become your future heirloom!
